Maggie Smits

Susan “Maggie” Smits has been in the legal industry for eight years as both office manager and paralegal. She has a MBA from the University of Dallas and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University. Maggie grew up in west Texas and moved to the DFW area after college in pursuit of green trees and water.

She has raised two sons with her husband and housed a large and varied amount of animals over the years. Away from work, she loves to travel especially to any place with a beach and clear blue water to snorkel in. Maggie loves working with clients, listening to their stories, guiding and supporting them through the legal process.

Tracy Lopez

Tracy Lopez is a paralegal in the litigation department at H&S. Tracy working closely with the attorney guides her clients through the process of litigation, from filing suit to trial.

Tracy is a native Californian and graduated from San Francisco State University as a certified paralegal. She has acquired extensive experience in personal injury law over the course of more than 16- year career in the field.

Away from the office, Tracy and her husband are busy raising their three children, 13, 12 and 11 years’ old whom are actively involved in baseball, volleyball and soccer. When there is a little downtime between sports she enjoys traveling, reading and watching movies.

Julie Jones

Julie Jones completed her undergraduate degree at Texas Woman’s University in 1989 with a Bachelor in Science in Government and then completed her paralegal training at Southeastern Paralegal Institute in 1992. She began her career as a paralegal at Hammerle Finley, Denton, TX in 1992 working on various types of cases including family and civil litigation and was working for six attorneys as lead paralegal.

In 2005, Julie made the move to Foreman, Lewis & Hutchison in Grapevine, TX where she worked on criminal cases along with Ms. Hutchison’s civil and employment cases. She has extensive experience interacting with clients as well as various administrative agencies, such as the EEOC, on behalf of clients. She is involved at every stage of the litigation, from discovery through trial preparation and is a vital member of the trial team.

Julie is married with 3 boys of her own and 3 stepchildren. She currently is awaiting the birth of her first grandchild. She is an avid sports fan especially following her youngest son’s football kicking career. She is also an avid reader.
